Any person working on a creative project knows just how important the chemistry of the team is in getting the final result which everyone desires. Of course, this is just one ingredient in the recipe for success. Hard work, determination and also bundles of creativity are also required. Luckily, this is a tale of when it all goes right. Recently I was lucky enough to star in VITO CAMARO‘s new music video for his song ‘Midnight Creep’. The video premiered on Flaunt magazine >> which you can check out here! Have a scroll down to see some behind the scenes shots!!
I met with the very talented and very lovely Anthony Gibbes in Soho for an evening of sex shops, photographs and Asian food. A winning combination, am I right? Scroll down to have a peak through what we created, and be sure to leave any comments in the comment section below!
Just a few years ago if you were seen wearing a tracksuit heading into a restaurant, bar or any other place (besides the McDonald’s drive through), you would probably been the subject of ridicule. That, or have people wondering if you were having a bit of a breakdown. Thanks to the socio-economic group ‘The Chav’, the tracksuit seen anywhere outside the sporting world was a sign of severe lack of style and fashion sense for the everyday girl.
Check out some of the images from my recent shoot with the lovely Erik Lundqvist, on location in a beautiful park in Angel, Islington.
I am not surprised this colour keeps reappearing in Winter fashion. Not only is it easy on the eye but surprisingly for a brown tone, it goes with everything! It’s quite rare to find a colour outside the usual blues, blacks, greys for outerwear which can be styled with every other colour, but Camel proves time and time again that it is a strong contender. Proving this theory, the Camel coat I have styled in this outfit post has been at the forefront of my wardrobe for the past few years after stumbling upon it in a charity shop in Winchester whilst at University. I love it. Made of fifty percent cashmere and fitted with large shiny buttons, its classical look is perfect for making any outfit look chic. I have matched it with a winter-appropriate matching roll-neck, a black Topman beanie, jeans and my trusty Dr Martens. Take a scroll down and have a look!
Welcome to my new ‘Street Style Series’ log- a way for me to document and collect in a gallery style way my favourite styles and outfits of each month and a half. I don’t like to bombard my Instagram with too style shots (famous last words…) so here is a more dedicated way to include various photos of the same outfit without causing eye rolls from my friends… Have a scroll down to see a few of my outfits which show how I have started to cope with the turn of the season. Keeping in line with my style preferences, these outfits feature mainly high-street and vintage items from a variety of shops and locations. Let me know what you think in the comment section below!
“Puffing Out” is my tribute to the style essential this winter. Of course, the Puffa Jacket. Nobody needs telling twice right now how popular they are, coming in so many styles and colours you’d be a fool not to snap one up this season. In this post you can also see two other style must-haves taking over everybody’s instragram feeds at the moment. Camo items and the widely admired black and white ‘Old Skool’ Vans. Go on, have a look!
Now that Summer has well and truly left us/ (me) crying and pining like a love sick teenager, I have retrospectively decided to compile a quick post about my favourite outfits from my three trips abroad. If you have kept up with my previous posts and/or Instagram posts you’ll already know that I was lucky enough to visit America, Cyprus and Prague this Summer.Although Summer 2016 involved many festivals and events around London for me, I thought here I would focus just on my trips abroad as they involved planning and packing specific items of clothing in advance. And also, the scenery is a little different over seas of course, making for some interesting photos.
I’ve said it before, I’m saying it now, and I’m sure I’ll say it a million times more. But I just love LAMODA! So it is with joy that I share with you guys my LAMODA collaboration, part 2! Featuring little me, the city of Bath, and a few of my new favourite accessories. If you’re looking for affordable fashion accessories online then you need to check out LAMODA! right away as there just isn’t anywhere else out there dedicated to giving you the latest on trend accessories at such an affordable price. For this outfit, I decided to try something little different than my usual look. I went for a more classy look compared to my usual streetwear style, very appropriate considering the upmarket settings of the city.
For part 1 of my collaboration with my favourite accessories brand LAMODA , I have chosen to style the ‘Dilemma’ pink Sunglasses and the ‘Case of the Ex’ pink Choker with a pink crop top and baggy camouflage trousers. Drawing inspiration from mixing girly tones with boyish items (seen on style icons such as Rihanna and Kylie Jenner), the combination of the two styles mixed together creates imagery of a feminine but tough protagonist. Scroll down to see how I have styled these items and make sure you let me know what you think in the comment section below!
London town of course! “Gal about town” was shot on an extremely grey day on the streets of London. Credit for these images goes to Andrew James Lamb, the man behind the lens. This classic black and white look mixes a few different items from my wardrobe all from the high-street which are versatile and appropriate for the every-changing London weather. Of course it would’t be my style if I didn’t dress down an outfit with some of my favourite trainers! Hope you enjoy!
This season, camouflage style garments have made a warmly welcomed comeback. They can be seen everywhere (ironic considering camouflage’s original purpose don’t you think *cringe wink face emoji appropriate here*… ) I am definitely not complaining though, as who doesn’t want to try and replicate the sexy camo outfits in the Destiny’s Child video circa 2001, am I right! 13 year old me who was a huge Bey fan would be extremely glad I was embracing the camo trend all these years later.
Now I don’t think my love of sports wear is much of a secret. Having come from a family of professional sportsmen and women, sports wear has always been a go to for my family for both sporting activities and for fashion. For me personally, Adidas has always seemed leagues above in terms of its ability to transcend the sporting world into the fashion world. Maybe it is something to do with the simplicity of the designs, the trademark 3 stripes, or its presence on famous figures from all walks of life. Adidas has some huge celebrity endorsements throughout our modern history: most notably I feel, being DMC in the 80’s, (the first deal between hip-hop artists and a multi-corp clothing company). Whatever the reasons for its success in the fashion world, I undoubtedly am huge fan.
Now, I have been searching for the perfect Faux Leather Jacket for what feels like a lifetime. So, you can imagine just how happy (and relieved!) I was to stumble across this beaut online. From the ever popular online store Missguided, I eagerly waited the arrival of this jacket, preparing myself for the possibility that it might not actually be what I had been searching for all this time. I have to be honest.. this jacket blew all my preconceived hopes and dreams (lol) out the window. It’s not just what I have been looking for, its more.
I have always been in love with denim. Denim jackets, denim jeans, denim shoes (yuuuup!) have always been major players in my wardrobe, and I am certainly not alone with my love for the material….
It is undeniable that denim has been a consistently popular material since its creation in 1871 via the ever famous Levi Strauss & co. Since then, denim jeans and its predecessors (which include every type of clothing garment imaginable), have been a staple to fashion. For this outfit post, I wanted to pick two unconventional items to create the ‘double denim look’, which usually consists of jeans paired with a denim jacket or a denim shirt. This look however, consists of a Pull and Bear denim trench and a Topman Cap. Both of which can be found in links at the bottom of the page.
I had the opportunity to meet with one of my favourite photographers and do a quick shoot for a Vintage Reebok editorial. A purposely simple and one outfit only shoot, the idea for this came from my personal love of vintage sports /street wear. Those who know me well know how much I love finding rare vintage finds from markets, charity shops, vintage shops and sometimes even my mums wardrobe when I’m home (..and she isn’t looking!) I styled this shoot myself with clothes from my own wardrobe, drawing upon my own preferences. This consists of a Reebok Vintage bomber jacket, Vintage Reebok Vest top, white Adidas Nizza Lo’s, an old white beanie and my favourite topshop skinny jeans.
I would like to say a huge Thank You! to everyone involved including Ruby McHugh for my nude make up look and of course Eddie Flicks for taking the snaps. I am obsessed with minimal editing on images, as I love the more natural look which I feel is shown in the pictures below. Enjoy, and don’t forget to leave me comments with what you think.
Finally, and I mean finally (!!!), after what seemed like the longest winter ever, summer appears to be on the horizon. Now it goes without saying that the beginning of the summer months each year tend to evoke a variety of fashion trends which coincide with the warmer weather. Not only due to the tones soften and the layers lessen, but we get to enjoy more hours of daylight to show off our new fashion finds.
